What are standalone mobile solar systems?

Standalone mobile solar systems, also commonly referred to as irrigation systems, are used to supply electrical power and meet the energy needs of electrical consumers in locations where connection to the electrical distribution grid is not feasible.

The emergence of renewable sources of electrical energy has facilitated the development of new types of standalone power supply systems. These systems are often used in conjunction with conventional standalone systems, such as batteries and/or generators. Standalone mobile solar systems are typically employed in combination with generator/battery units as auxiliary sources of electrical energy.

To enhance yields in agricultural, orchard, and vegetable plantations, it is necessary to provide irrigation systems equipped with powerful pumps and suitable sources of electrical energy. In locations where connection to the electrical distribution grid is not possible, and there is a need to ensure power for irrigation pumping stations, these mobile solar systems are precisely utilized. For these purposes, alternative sources of renewable energy, namely devices for converting solar energy into electrical energy, have been available for quite some time—solar panels.

Mobility enhances the usability, utility, and productivity of any system. A mobile solar system is the most promising decentralized off-grid electricity generation system. The significant advantage of this system is its easy handling, as it draws power from solar radiation (readily available in large quantities, with no need for fuel or other power sources). Sun tracking, weather stations, and video surveillance enable you to control energy production and consumption. In times of economic and energy crises, these systems can provide security and pay off within 1 to 2 years.

This approach eliminates the need for additional labor. The system is entirely independent from the moment it is put into operation. Currently, there is no more cost-effective and efficient solution on the market that end-users can obtain through direct sales or online. The mobile facility is easily transportable (easy and quick disassembly and assembly, mounting, and commissioning) from one location to another, depending on the user’s needs.

A portion of the energy generated during the day from solar panels is redirected directly to consumers, bypassing the batteries (which are thus minimally loaded, extending their lifespan).

Efficiency of standalone mobile solar systems

Increased efficiency of the standalone power plant is enabled by the capability for automatic rotation of the panels towards the sun, ensuring that sunlight consistently maximally illuminates the photovoltaic (PV) panel. This leads to the optimal utilization of solar rays and an efficiency increase of up to 40%.

The consumption of a conventional diesel generator is 3 liters per hour of Euro-diesel. The consumption for a twelve-hour period over 30 days amounts to 1,080 liters of diesel. For such a photovoltaic system, no fuel is required, the sole fuel source being sunlight, representing an inexhaustible source of renewable electrical energy.

The generator/batteries serve as an auxiliary power source for nighttime irrigation of agricultural crops.

Many people consider efficiency to be the most crucial criterion when choosing a solar panel, but what is most important is the manufacturing quality, which is linked to actual performance, reliability, manufacturer support, and warranty conditions.
